Secret to success
I often get stopped when driving my Lamborghini and questioned what’s the secret to being successful?
I simply answer YOU.
You and you only hold the key to your success; you’re the only real driver of your life and the only person responsible for the outcome of your choices. It’s certain that people might influence, help or perhaps attempt to drive your own decisions but eventually you and you only are faced with the consequences.
When looking back at my last ten years in business, Let me say that one particular action permitted me for being considered successful by most today and this would be my capability to make the right choices, decisions that bring value to my life and are not driven or influenced by other people. These decisions might be as small as choosing which bash to go to in High School or perhaps as large as merging your business, but in the end still hold a really big affect your life. Decision making plays a vital role in long term success
Understanding the responses to your actions at any time but not lying to yourself will be the key indicators that you do indeed control your outcomes and therefore could determine ahead of time the level of success you wish to achieve. You are then ready to set a vision, drive outcomes through the decisions and choices you are making every day and limit your setbacks because of your thought process.
Let us make use of this simple illustration that we can probably all relate to: Can you notice that from time to time, all of us catch a break and obtain some profit from somewhere that we simply were not planning on but yet still in some way are not able to save it, mainly because some random bill or something comes up as soon as we hear we getting this money, and therefore end up with nothing more than what we had just before hearing about this change. The concept here is equally easy, we hear we’re catching a break and so choose to let our guard down which ends up with a mistake that costs us, and therefore takes away what we had not received yet, positioning us back at square one.
By making such a small mistake, we basically set ourselves back by keeping ourselves from growing. This particular tendency that we all to take these things for granted keeps us down, while the surroundings advance, we remain constant in one place, seeing other people pass us and have a greater level of success.
I’ll leave you with some food for thought: if the world is growing at a steady pace, then you need to grow faster to keep getting ahead but when you will find tiny ways to reduce your mistakes, then you develop at a faster pace, experiencing and being familiar with the system that the world operates on and remaining ahead from the opportunities that present themselves is the actual key you have to master and deliver on each day. This is real secret to success.
